Mayfaire is a piece of shit. I've been there plenty of times and it sucks ass. They always card me next time I'm pulling out my dick and showing my pubs. The staff is filled to the roof with fags. The bitches look good but they stuck up like that fucking gated community. They told me one time I had to be 25 to see a r rated movie. When I'm 25 I'm going back with a 40 and a blunt and request that movie. If they say it ain't there I'ma smack they face. They wanna hit me up for my dough popcorn, soda, and candy prices are crazy espically the fucking nachos. Carmike they screen aint as big but the bitches titties is. Trust me this aint no bullshit review this is the truth.
I love Mayfair.. I always go to it. Its real nice and big..
The theater itself is nice and the staff is very nice. The sound is very good and the seats are comfortable. It is very cold in each movie theater, so dress accordingly. It is quite expensive and the popcorn is stale if you go to any of the day showings. They definitely use the popcorn from the night before but for what you pay for it you would think they would pop fresh popcorn. You have to pay for your popcorn toppings, that one was a new one on me. My advice would be to eat before you go or take your own snacks if it is before the night shows.
My wife and I have seen dozens of movies at the M.C. 16 theater and we enjoy ourselves every time (unless the movie itself was bad). The employees are always nice and the managers are always very helpful. On busy weekends there may be a snag here or there but that's to be expected. We were watching a movie one night and the audio went out during the movie for 3 or 4 minutes and was corrected and we watched the rest of the movie with no problem. When the movie was over and we were leaving it was 2 managers at the exit handing out free passes for another visit. My wife and I were pleasently surprised and that's what I call great customer experience. Overall M.C.16 is a very nice theater in a very nice location with alot of other things to do once the movie is over with.
The popcorn is nothing to write home about but everything else in the concession area is ok.
Mayfaire 16 is a nice theather and I love the location. However, having to pay $7.00 for a large popcorn and $5.50 for a large drink is highway robbery! They should be embarrassed to charge that much! In addition, the popcorn was COLD and STALE. I will continue going to see my movies at this theater but my days of buying anything from their concession stand are over! And I'll NEVER buy their popcorn again. In fact, I wouldn't have it if it were FREE! YUCK!! I will just go to the matinee movie and pay my $7.00 to get in and be able to go home without killing a twenty dollar bill! ****MAKE SURE YOU DRESS IN WARM CLOTHES AS THE THEATERS ARE FRIGID!!****
Its pretty nice but the bathrooms are always out of soap or no toilet paper... the seating is good and the staff is pretty nice but the popcorn isn't ever HOT! I can always get hot popcorn at Carmike! And they used to have complementary (white cheddar)cheese or salt,etc to go on your popcorn and now they make you buy it... which is fine but after you pay to get in and get a drink,candy,popcorn or even pizza shoot you spent a lot of money! Maybe if they are gonna sale it as an extra item maybe they should make a combo deal out of it where it is cheaper! It is so pricey to go to a movie now days! and don't forget to stop being CHEAP AND MAKE YOUR POPCORN ***HOT*** and fresh!
This theatre is big, new, and has great seating. Depending on the movie or the time of day, you can beat the crowds and have a great time.
Mayfaire 16 is always so crowded. I watched Dark Knight and half the movie was playing on the masking. When I asked someone to fix it they were rude to me. I watched it again at the Carmike theater in digital and there was no comparison.
When I was leaving I heard one of the managers telling their staff to save the leftover popcorn for tomorrow! That made my stomach turn over. It may be a newer theater but I prefer the Carmike more. At least they make their popcorn fresh daily.
Mayfaire 16 is what I belive to be the best movie theater in town because it has shopping right there and it is the biggest one in Wilmington, NC.
Mayfaire is in a great location. my wife and I love to hit the barnes and nobles take in a movie and go for a walk through the shopping area. Everthing is great except the consessions they are overpriced and the popcorn is never hot. if your going to charge a premium price ,the product should reflect that. Starbucks for example sells a premium product so you expect to pay a little more. And how hard is it to have good pop corn ? REALLY.

You killed any point that you were trying to make by wrapping your post up in a douche-roll and deep frying it. My guess as to the reason that you get such poor service would be that you are a huge asshole who says things like "They always card me next time I'm pulling out my dick and showing my pubs."
